Masbate, Masbate - 2 persons who were suspected to sell fake medicinal products were successfully arrested by the authorities in the towns of Cataingan and San Pascual Masbate. According to reports, authorities were able to confiscate up to Php200,000 worth of imitated brands of Medex Herbal drinks. P/Sr Inspector Eugenio Manondo, Chief of Police of San Pascual PNP, the first suspect who was identified as Elino Mendoza of Esperanza Masbate was first arrested after failing to submit the necessary documents for his business including a certification from the Bureau of Food and Drugs.The second suspect who was identified as Edison Jesalva was arrested in Cataingan Masbate was also arrested after failing to submit the BFAD Certification that the authorities were looking for. The arrested suspects have reportedly identified their source for the fake medicinal products as Merlino Palangi of Barangay Asturias, Cebu City.
